Run like the wind to save lives of children with cancer!

The VIVA Hero Virtual Challenge brings together people of all ages to walk and run to raise funds in support of patients and survivors of childhood cancer.

Every year, around 150 cases of childhood cancer are diagnosed in Singapore—but with your help, this need not be a death sentence. All funds raised will go towards supporting life-saving cancer research, improving medical care and facilities for childhood cancer patients, and providing programmes that enable survivors to thrive beyond treatment.

You don’t need to be a doctor to save lives. You can compete, have fun, and join survivors on their journey towards becoming healthy. Together, we can make sure that no child fights cancer alone, and give them the best fighting chance to live long, healthy lives!

A virtual race spanning 20 days, participants—both individuals and teams—can walk and run their routes of choice and complete their distances at their own pace. You can track your progress using GPS-enabled apps or other fitness trackers of choice that can capture your route.

We run as one to show our support for children and families affected by childhood cancer so that they never need to fight alone. Join us as we run together (in spirit) and save lives.

Raise cure and survival rates for childhood cancer

Improve medical care

VIVA enables doctors, nurses, scientists, and medical professionals to continue sharing knowledge and take part in training in order to provide the best possible medical care for childhood cancer patients not only in Singapore, but in the region and beyond

Enable childhood cancer survivors to thrive

Surviving cancer is just the first step. Childhood cancer survivors are likelier to develop late side effects and chronic problems as a result of their treatments. Your support will go towards VIVA’s programmes that will look after their care, nutrition, emotional and mental well-being, and education to make sure they thrive well after their treatment.

STEP 1:  Set up a Fundraising Page via Giving.sg or Give.Asia
Create your fundraiser page on behalf of VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer, via donation platforms Giving.sg or Give.Asia. Your campaign name should be “YOUR NAME is doing the VIVA Hero Virtual Challenge 2020”. Your campaign should have a minimum target of $200.

STEP 2:  Register for the VIVA Hero Virtual Run
Sign up for the race, and choose the distance that you would like to complete (3km/5km/10km). During registration, you will have the chance to form teams, shop for race gear, and link your fundraising page.

STEP 3:  Raise, Race, and Compete!
Raise money to save children with cancer. Start walking or running and clock your distances using your tracking apps or treadmills. You can choose to complete it all at once, or break up the distance over the race period. Watch the leaderboards to see how you and your team rank! 

STEP 4: Submit and Verify
Track your progress and submit a screenshot of your tracking app or a photo of the treadmill dashboard showing your results for verification.

STEP 5: Celebrate Your Success

Complete your distances and fundraising commitments. Celebrate your successes, and await your final race entitlements! Be proud that you have helped support life-saving, life-enhancing research and programmes for childhood cancer patients and survivors!
