VIVA-ASIA BLOOD AND MARROW TRANSPLANT CONSORTIUM AUTUMN SCHOOL 2022
22 October 2022 | 14.00 - 17:30 (UTC+8) (Singapore Time)
23 October 2022 | 16.00 - 19:00 (UTC+8) (Singapore Time)
Since 2017, the VABMT Consortium has organized a series of 'VABMT Schools' with the mission of bringing together international and regional experts to educate physicians on the latest advances and best practice in paediatric HSCT. We believe that the promises of HSCT and cellular therapy can bring about solutions even to the most challenging situations for children fighting cancers and hereditary diseases. We aim to empower emerging programs to set up and expand their HSCT service with support from centres of excellence, and at the same time, to drive innovations and nurture the next generation of leaders in paediatric HSCT.
The 2022 Autumn School has 2 main themes: 1) HSCT and cellular therapy for refractory / relapsed acute leukemia and 2) HSCT for inborn errors. In addition to lectures delivered by international experts, we also invite clinical leads from various centers in the VABMT community to share their experiences, as well as our junior faculty to mentor trainees on their case presentations. There is a breakout session dedicated to nursing practice, which is the key to service excellence. Through collaborative learning in the virtual space, we sincerely hope to bring our audience a rewarding learning experience close to home and the workplace.
