Workshop Objectives:

  • To learn the principles of using Flow Cytometry in making diagnosis of childhood leukemias
  • To develop the skills necessary to apply the principles
  • To define the minimum panels of antibodies required
  • To discuss difficult cases encountered in immuno-phenotyping
  • To introduce the basic principles of monitoring minimal residual disease

  • Lecture on “The clinical significance of leukemia immunophenotyping and MRD monitoring” by Dr. Dario Campana
  • Overview on “Principles of leukemia immuno-phenotyping and MRD detection” by Ms. Elaine Coustan-Smith
  • Exercises on diagnosis and MRD detection
