11 August 2019 – “You are not only the mother of your four children, but the mother of all Chinese children who suffer from leukemia,” said Prof Chen Guoqiang, Vice President of Jiao Tong University and the Chancellor of its School of Medicine in his presentation of the Goodwill Ambassador Award to Mrs Jennifer Yeo for her contribution in promoting academic collaborations between the Shanghai university and tertiary-level institutions in Singapore.

Mrs Yeo is the Chairman of VIVA Foundation for Children with Cancer, Singapore and VIVA China Children’s Cancer Foundation Limited, Hong Kong, and hopes to "play catalyst to collaborations that are beyond geographies and politics."

VIVA is very appreciative and encouraged by this award and shares it with each of our collaborator, donor and volunteer who have contributed to a common goal of eradicating childhood cancer.

The Award presentation is part of a three-day visit programme led by Professor Chen Guoqiang to explore further collaborations with Singapore institutions.
